Debeljuškasta paprika

SASTOJCI (za 4 osobe):

4 paprike, raznih boja
1 luk, sjeckani
4 češnjaka, sjeckano
250 g mljevene govedine
250 g slatke talijanske kobasice
1 žličica soli
1 čajnu žličica papra
700 ml pulpe Zdravo za gotovo
700 g pelata rajčica
400 g sira ricotta
1 šalica ribanog parmezan sira
½ šalice svježeg bosiljka, sjeckani
1 jaje
4-5 kuhanih listova lazanja rezanih na četvrtine
1 šalica mozzarelle

PRIPREMA
Zagrijte pećnicu na 350˚F / 180˚C. Izrežite vrh svake paprike i uklonite sjeme. Pecite 20 minuta kako bi omekšala. Na 2 žlice ulja pržite luk i češnjak dok ne omekša. Dodajte mljevenu govedinu, kobasicu, sol i papar. Dinstajte dok meso ne posmeđi sa svih strana. Dodajte pelate rajčica i pulpu rajčice Zdravo za gotovo. Kuhajte na umjerenoj vatri 5-10 minuta, izvadite i pustite "da odmori".

U maloj zdjeli, pomiješajte ricottu, parmezan, bosiljak i jaje, stavite na stranu. Izvadite paprike iz pećnice, isušite sav višak vode koja se nakupila unutra. U svaku papriku stavite 1 krišku lazanje, 2 žlice umaka, 2 žlice ricotta mješavine i 1 krišku lazanje dok paprike ne budu pune. Mozzarellu stavite na vrh. Pecite u zagrijanoj pećnici 20-25 minuta, dok se sir ne rastopi.
Ostavite da odstoji 10 minuta prije posluživanja.

LASAGNA-STUFFED PEPPERS

Servings: 4

INGREDIENTS

4 bell peppers, various colors

1 onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, chopped

½ pound ground beef

½ pound sweet Italian sausage

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes

1 28-ounce can tomato sauce

15 ounces whole milk ricotta

1 cup grated parmesan cheese

½ cup fresh basil, chopped

1 egg

4-5 cooked lasagna noodles, quartered

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 350˚F/180˚C.

Cut the top off of each pepper and remove the seeds. Transfer to a square baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, to soften.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot, or dutch oven, over medium high heat. Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.

Add the ground beef, sausage, salt, and pepper. Cook until the meat has browned on all sides.

Add the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Bring the mixture to a light simmer. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, remove from heat and set aside.

In a small bowl, combine ricotta, parmesan, basil, and egg. Mix together with a fork, set aside.

Remove the peppers from the oven, drain any excess water that accumulated inside.

Assemble the lasagna in each pepper. Alternate 2 tablespoons of sauce, 1 lasagna noodle, 2 tablespoons ricotta mixture, and 1 lasagna noodle until the peppers are full. Top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.

Rest for 10 minutes before serving.
